I'd recommend Desktop Dungeons Enhanced Edition as my favorite game. While I haven't played it for quite some time, I think I should probably use this opportunity of exposure to recommend something that's less known of.
It's a bit of a blend of rogue & puzzle & math, and offers huge tons of contents. You can unlock a great arsenal, together with great challenges. It's one of those easy to pick up yet hard to master games, and offers a wide range of difficulties with tons of different dungeons and quests (basically handicaps on your customization). And if you feel interested, there's a free alpha edition for you to try, which is basically a full game, just less contents (alpha had been there first for quite some years, and then there came DDEE).

My list of fav hobbies has to start with gaming, and then in a distant second place would come reading, then whatever I get a kick out of for a while, which has been fencing, photography, and many others.

Thanks, both of you:) and yeah, I knew of iirc and afaik. They seem to have only one meaning each and thus it’s easier to look them up on the internet, while atm has quite a few possible meanings and can be hard to decide for someone who’s not familiar with most of them.

My favorite game is DOOM! I play it every year and only recently started modding it, and it's even better. My favorite hobby would be finding obscure games and researching them. I want to see other people's ideas, and how they executed those ideas.

If you like obscure older games try finding and playing Symbiocom....a nice 3D adventure game set in space.....it's very hard to find/get running, but very worth it, imo.
