The best in your opinion and why?

I did my research and I'm buying the list below sorted (best first):

-The Legend of Heroes
-Ys

I'm getting the whole series of both, but if you're on the cheap you can get the following:

-The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC (as it's the Second Chapter (SC) you'll prolly want to buy the first chapter before starting the SC).
-Ys Origin (best reviews in the series from Metacritic (user score) and Steam).
-Ys: The Oath in Felghana (some argue it's better than Origin, but Origin still has better reviews).

Obviously, if you have a PS3 or a PS4, go for Persona 5, it has been on sale and it's prolly still on sale (don't get the DLCs they're only clothes and some unnecessary personas). Persona 5 is the best jRPG ever, but there's no PC version.

So after some research I came up with the titles above mentioned.

If you're more into stories and grand epics, check out Legend of Heroes. It bears many similarities to Suikoden, and all the games combined make for a few hundred hours of playtime. For action, choose the Ys series.
