Last year I won Grid on your giveaway, wich granted me some hours of fun...

With current backlog and all those good freebies on Epic there is only one game I'm really interested: Dirt Rally 2.0


Pretty much all of my direct family make charity work one way or another but my story will be a diferent one: years ago, lost dog (very common in my country's rural areas) and by the looks was very hungry (and probably sick), approached me and I ignored him. My "better half" (very literal in the better part) saw the dog a couple of hours later and decided to help, first with water and food, then with Vet help. We adopted the small dog soon after.
Fast foward a couple of years and my soul mate is actually jealous of my relationship wit the dog :D

Yeah, lesson leaned and you can imagine how many times this story is thrown at me!!!

As some of you are probably aware, I've donated countless hours to managing the GOG and Non-GOG community giveaways here on the GOG forum. It's been nice to hear from people who received games in the giveaways, and occasionally someone will buy me a game to say thanks. I used to be far less of a shut-in, and back then it was a lot easier to find ways to help people. Ever since I moved to my current location about seven years ago, I've been far more cut off from people, so it's been far harder to find ways to be helpful. Managing the giveaways has finally helped me feel like I have a purpose in life again. It's been nice.

As for a charitable story, the neighbor of my parents recently gave us a whole bunch of children's toys and equipment for our little daughter. We lived at my parents' place for two months during the Corona lockdown, and she spotted my mother with our daughter in the garden. The following weeks, she gave us various things she still had. Some of them are still very popular with our daughter, like the tricycle. The toys were not necessarily crazy expensive (though some were not exactly cheap, either), but we wouldn't even have thought of getting many of them.
