As for a charitable story, I feel I've related this before, but I remember visiting New York as a kid and really wanting to see the Lion King on Broadway. Through a series of unfortunate events by the time we got there we were unable to get tickets. However, a charitable organisation gave me a ticket (but not any of my family), so I got to see an incredible musical.

I really should donate to the charity now that I can. I wonder if it still exists...

This is an easy one! A little over a month ago, my wife had a heart attack. It was this crazy random event called a SCAD. We've got kids (2 boys, 5 and 10), and they both play hockey. I coach the 10 year olds team. So, while I've become the primary parent, I'm also gone to hockey a lot, and my wife is definitely not up to parenting the 5 year old on her own. The help we've had from our community has been amazing and humbling. We were given so much food, that I didn't have to cook a meal for almost 3 weeks. Twice, while I was at the hospital visiting her, people loaded my fridge with food. My neighbours daughters have been willing to take my 5yo old whenever we've needed, and sometimes at a moments notice. Other friends have provided childcare too. Twice, another friend has come and done laundry!!

I'm not in - I've been a monthly subscriber for most of the year, so I have what I want. In fact, I have a few leftovers as well. If paladin181 wants 'em I'll donate the following games to the giveaway:

When I was a child, there was a year where my family list everything. My parents couldn't work for a while, expenses skyrocketed, we lost our house and moved into a house in a rough neighborhood that was filled with bats that would fly around in the house's basement and stuff and occasionally the living space.

The salvation army showed up dressed like Santa and the Elves. I wanted a particular stuffed animal and I actually got a stored animal from the same show. Not the one I wanted, but I was so moved as a 7 year old by their generosity that it quickly became my favorite.

Even after many, many years, that moment can bring back tears.

Thanks for sharing your gaming overage. I should do the same some time. I keep saying I'll make another treasure hunt, but I keep but building them. :)
