Titanium: Well it's useless to try to contact gog on this issue, you should contact Instant Gaming since it was them that sold you the code.
I have been talking for a while with Instant Gaming and they insist they what the exact time the key was redeemed.

There's a pandemic and a huge release. Sorry, there's going to be a wait. Still you shouldn't expect staff to help you on these forums. While there are mods, that's not their primary function. But you shouldn't post any personal information directly to the forum. Wait until a staff member has made contact with you, if that's your goal, or wait on your support ticket.

Being as you got this from a 3rd party though GOG isn't likely to be able to help you too much.

That's their way of weasling out of a refund. If you can't provide the information (And GOG may or may not provide it for you) then they'll refuse the refund for you being "uncooperative."

Perhaps GoG support can help you. Maybe GoG support can verify you as a user with your email address does NOT have the game, an that the key was redeemed by someone else. That should be proof enough to get a refund.

Curiously they could also say who did redeem it and maybe let Instant Gaming figure it out.

I'd say this is how you can tell it's a scam. How can you as a person who failed to redeem the key ever be expected to know when the key was redeemed? The only thing you can tell them was that it was some time before the exact time when you tried it. Them insisting you tell them something you can't possibly know, shows that they're not acting in good faith.
As the previous GG Support link advises:

"Please note that codes starting with 9JM6616D211B9FEA are not valid GOG codes.
If you've bought such a code on cdkeys.com or other key reseller website please contact their support to request a refund"
Here's my guess of how things went down:

- someone in a region with cheaper prices on games got hold of a batch of those printed codes they put in the boxes for "retail" versions of games
- they scanned the sheets and sent / sold them to a key reseller, probably instant games in this case
- AND they sold them locally for a big discount to friends and interested parties,maybe not all, but probably yours
- IG sold you the code, but since it was a batch offer they're not super sure of the origin, so they want to know the time the code was redeemed, if it was before they sent it out, then they know it wasn't you who redeemed it
- don't use game resellers, ffs
