This is game with lot of negative or mixed reviews. If it goes on discount, would you buy it? If I really, but really dig magic in games (I love Nine Parchments and Mages of Mystralia), would you recommend it?

On sale, yeah. It's a great idea with a very limited implemetation. It's good for a couple hours of fun at least. Perhaps more for you, enjoying magic as you say you do.
