Hope it eventually will be available on gog too.
"Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a story-driven open-world RPG that immerses you in an epic adventure in the Holy Roman Empire. Avenge your parents' death as you battle invading forces, go on game-changing quests, and make influential choices."

Whenever I needed a background for an RPG character, my joke goto was "orcs killed my family, and now I am out for revenge."
I love GOG but pre-purchase doesn't always go really smoothly here. :P

I for one avoid it everywhere digitally because I don't really see the point. I am willing to learn if someone can explain digital pre-purchase.
Don't know about others but for me pre-purchase = early support of a project and developer that tries to do something -actually- different from mass market shovelware. Even if the final product turns out to be somewhat lackluster and not the promised messiah or chosen one.

If it were on gog a pre-purchase, from my point of view would also mean a token of appreciation for taking the risk of releasing the final product DRM-free which unfortunately still is not a given these days.

-Support for an idea, like the (very, Very, VERY) little brother of crowdfunding
-Support of nice behaviour
-good discounts

Well, it comes down to the point that I dislike most digital preorders---but I do like seeing gamecards up early and a preorder needs a gamecard to be up, so even an okayish preorder is a good thing for me.

Support the wishlist i guess: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/kingdom_come_deliverance

i voted for it but there's a comment that says the developer doesn't seems to care for a DRM-free release. Hope they change their mind(s)

Isn't every other game nowadays described as "story-driven"?

I looked up some trailers and it intrigues me. Maybe because it is set in the historical HRE instead of the over-used magical medievalesque kingdom. However, the videos looked entirely made from cinematics and not actual gameplay.

Hopefully it will be released on GOG at some point. No need to hurry with preorders.

So it's like Gladiator, the game, and will you have your revenge in this life or the next?

I am not saying creativity is dead but even necromancers feel it's old skool!
I am a backer (yes, a big mistake, I know), and people asked them about a GOG release on the kickstarter comments. They never answered, so I wouldn't count on it. In fact, I would be surprise if this game doesn't end up with denuvo. That's how confident I am on those guys and their respect to their backers and customers in general.

(And yes, I consider highly disrespectful not to offer a drm-free game to your backers and buyers when you were begging for their money to be able to make the game in the first place. But it's happening in kickstarter more and more).
There is a good chance that this game will come to GOG: https://twitter.com/WarhorseStudios/status/684118138770833409

That was one and a half years ago.
Things change.
They are publishing through Deep Silver now.
More money have been put into the game.
And my opinion -based on nothing concrete- is that they think the game is up to AAA standards now and should compete with the big boys.
So yes, I was aware of that tweet, and how we all thought it would be here...
... back in the day.
I recall this one and thought it showed up in one of the database crawls a while back.

It looked very interesting - caught my attention - hopefully it shows up here sooner rather than later.

Yup I do exactly this. If I want to support a developer / game I believe in and tossing my coin at them for an early DRM free release or delving into a concept I'm interested in I have no problem with it.

I actually consider "story-driven" to be a negative; I prefer the games I play to be driven by their gameplay; otherwise, why play a game in the first place?

Even when I play open world games, my choice about what to do next tends to be gameplay driven.. For example, in Oblivion, my reason for doing the Mage's Guild recommendation quests was to get access to powerful spells like Summon Lich. There's no real "role-plaiyng" reason for what I do; it's all based on what I think will lead to the most fun gameplay for me.
From what I've seen of the game and developers so far, if it were to come here to GOG, I'd be fairly happy to pay full price for the game. Something that I rarely, if ever, do as I'm quite the stickler for deep discounts.
It's on the unofficial upcoming games list:

Not sure how to link to a specified post using a tablet, so just look for the latest list posted in the second last page of the thread. The list is split into two posts. It's mentioned in the first of the two posts.
