RadonGOG: We need way more participants; in those forums as well as in this thread!

tfishell: Yeah, it's tough to get people to create accounts just to make a single post. In any case, I'll probably be holding a new giveaway soon.

Could you add this for the game Ascendency - https://www.facebook.com/AscendancyGame - and also bolden the publisher titles that don't currently have it applied in the original post?
Don´t really like to link to facebook, but it looks like I have to do it in this case... ;)
...oh and I´ve bolden the non-boldened now!
Ha, I just created an account to add my 2 cents to that 2k thread. Some guy was trying to say steam offered all the same stuff as gog, no one ever countered it, and it lit a fire inside me.

Nice from you, we need such support!
Now this I can get behind.
Will be creating forum accounts to be a part of the voice.
When asked about bringing Square Enix JP games to GOG:
"I don't think we have any plans at the moment but this may change in the future so never say never. "

It would be fantastic to have Square Enix start bringing their Japanese division's games to GOG. So, get in contact with them and the other publishers, comrades, and let them know we want their games here. :)

Posted a comment and added the link to the list!
Thank you RadonGOG for reminding me of this thread.
You'll see I posted on EA, Ubisoft, NordicGames and Bohemia threads.

...
I don't have high hopes but cheers for your continuing efforts.
Just a thought:

Judging by the amount of people here that complains everytime a promotion is announced on facebook or a giveaway requires twitter I'd say most people here doesn't like those social tools. Yet, I have read a couple of examples were if you have a complain about something, twitter has been more effective in solving problems because the companies think that a tweet could affect their public image much more than an email or a telephone call.

This campaigns are not complaints of course but I wonder if turning to twitter instead of forums would not have a bigger visibility, perhaps even promoting GOG in the process.

Oh, many of those who search for rights or try to get games to GOG also use twitter, there is just no threat to keep track of all those tweets, I think. :-)
Tweeting is good for this.

cant we just get passed all this "own" and "license" nonsense though? You are wrong in that thread, buying a game on gOg also just gives you a license to play the game - same as on Steam. DRM free games delivered via Steam do not need re-authentication, just move the game folder out of the Steam folder (or even delete Steam after you downloaded the game...). You can also back up the DRM free Steam games by zipping and moving the game folder.

The only thing you are right about in that post, is that gOg have a 30 day money back guarantee, while Steam don't.

I wouldn´t stop you...
...but maybe you should just open an own thread for this variant!
Don´t wanna have discussions regarding twitter in this thread, so this might be the easiest way...

This might sound a little silly, but he said something else that is simply true:
"they have no such thing as a fair price package"
Nobody can disagree on that...

Concerning AnythingElseInYourPost:
Buying a DRM-free game on Steam is like buying an apple in BioQuality, then applying pestizids on it and instawashing it afterwards! And don´t forget: You aren´t allowed to wash every apple... :D :D :D

...ok, this comparision was really trashy ;)

Granted

(but notice how this and the other point have nothing to do about 'owning' the game ;))

edit - and it is arguable what is fair about the fair deal package.... you know the whole equality vs equity debate... but this is really not the right place for that one.

Thanks a lot for the wonderful DRM Free Mini-Revolutions thread. I'm definitely a supporter of the DRM-free Revolution as well which can be witnessed by my posts on the , Double Fine and Telltale forum threads. Kudos and +rep for the efforts in making all the threads on various publisher websites to persuade them to bring more of their classic games to GOG DRM Free. :)
