sanscript: If you really think it's any better on Steam then by all means, dream on... :D

These kinds of issues happens EVERY time a game launches, and the more popular the game is the more people have trouble. Both Steam and GOG are being dragged through the mud right now...

GeraltOfRivia_PL: All wrong. How are you high rated
He is not entirely wrong. Any time there is a major sale or a hyped-up game releases the servers of both Steam and GOG are bogged down very heavily to the point the sites are either very slow or not responsive at all. I notice with Steam any time there is a major sale their site struggles for the 1st day or so.

skeletonbow: I'm going to use GOG twice as much to help balance things out after the loss.

Orkhepaj: what loss?:O
Hrm, you make a strong point! :)

ShadowWulfe: I still need to finish the Witcher 3.

Sildring: I still need to buy the Witcher 3.
They just gave me witcher 3 for free for some reason.

To the op i think what you want is a console not a pc.

"I'm never using GOG again,
guilty fingers feel no downloads,
though it's easy to abide,
I know that I'm a fool."

I’ve learned the hard way that it’s not a great idea to play a game right at the very minute of release, because you’re more likely than not to encounter bugs like this. That being said, I’d just keep trying to download and load the game up, because it might just work now, or like others have said, just try waiting a little while longer.

grumblegrumblin: I waited 8 years for Cyberpunk 2077 to come out. GoG offered early download. I took the bait and was confronted by multiple walls of random downloads and hassles. Never using this APP again. The final straw was the update on the hour the game came out. GoG told me I did not have enough disc space when I had over 1TB of disc available. Fuck this application.
So your life has been at a standstill for 8 years while anticipating a mediocre video game?

Can I have your stuff?

Orkhepaj: if only people would learn to wait some months after release, but i guess whining is easier to do
I've never understood the "must play NAOW" mentality with games. I don't even bother considering a game, let alone buying or playing, until at least a year after release, or even five. I see a ton of benefits from doing this and none from playing a game still hot from the oven. Patches, bug fixes, all DLC released and added, what does the game actually have versus alpha promises...

I avoid all the stress of buggy, unfinished products and clogged download queues and instead get a polishied, finished product at a lower price.
