Hi.

I have many games from GOG, and I love it. I'm needing a new laptop, though, and my work pressure looks like I may be getting a Mackintosh (never before worked with one). I just wanted to make sure I would be able to play all my games(obviously if they are Mac compatible"), or if I had to buy the "MAC compatible feature at the time of purchase.... Thanks.....

If a game has Mac compatible version available on GOG then you can download the said version from your library and run it on your Mac. You don't need to buy anything twice. Same goes for Linux.
There is an option to select your desired OS in the download list. I guess it auto-detects your current OS.

Hope it helps!

Have a nice day. :)

What kind of workplace can be that evil? Are you working for the tobacco industry?

First guess, he works for Apple.
What bhrigu said, spot on.

Also from what I've noticed, whenever a game without a Mac or Linux version ever gets a Mac or Linux version added on GOG, then that additional platform version has been available to whomever has already purchased the game on GOG without need to buy it again. Seems like every game on GOG is already at least for the MS Windows operating system, and with English for at least one of either text or audio.

If a software developer has committed to making a cross-platform version, then it might get added to GOG sometime later (if the software developers can get it done). Sometimes those additions go unannounced, so there's this thread:
The Unannounced Addition of Linux and macOS Versions Thread

Multi-platform purchases from GOG is the whole reason I buy from GOG instead of the Mac App Store, for example Real Myst Masterpiece Edition. I've been using a Mac for decades, however lately I no longer have any dependencies on Mac-only software and I couldn't care less about staying with macos (or any platform for that matter). As such, I've been favoring games on GOG that are already available for Windows+Mac+Linux, just in case.

A Mac is also a personal computer (pc).

Well played. No, it's just that the university where I work (and the previous one too) were very Mac friendly. So not pressure, really, just convenience.

I worked for IBM and built Apple servers back in the late 90's. :)

Trying to remember actually but that was before the strokes. I thought it was the intro line of the xserves but those didn't appear until 2002.
Ah. So you chose poorly. Instead of getting say, a nice Linux workstation.
