Player discrimination
I am sick of this. Why some "influencers"— known as youtubers, twich streamers etc.— can enjoy the game and spoil it to everyone else by throwing to their faces "Look peasants! I am first-grade citizen! Look how I play before all of you!!!".

That is disgusting! Especially when you will consider that small streamers, being out of this circle, do not have any chance to participate, therefore those other "digital activists" will gain even more money.

It is purely unfair practice, discriminating not only other streamers, but also all players who PAID for that product.

Enough for that!

You should throw yourself on the floor flailing all limbs and screaming. That will surely help.
They should've installed Galaxy...sorry, couldn't resist.

But in all seriousness, I'm with you, but sadly it's all about the money, nobody cares about fairness. :/

It's marketing. Streamers with thousands of followers are like reviewers who also got to play early. That's the way it works. Also for those big time streamers it's actually their job to stream - they make their money doing that. Like the professional reviewers.

Small time streamers are just like normal customers like ourselves.

This is like someone with a small gaming blog complaining they didn't get a review copy like GameSpot or IGN.
I remember a few years back we had a discussion (albeit short) that is was the governments social departments duty to provide a woman to every lonely man out there (or a man to every lonely woman out there)...

You might as well cry for justice and your human right for sex here too, because the rich can always buy something/someone also since they are first class citizens...

That's what I mean, they don't get anything out of people streaming the title, that have a mere hundreds or thousands of viewers. :)
Just don't watch them , same for twitch thots.
Don't watch it. Problem solved. Cry some more.

I'm not OP but I'm against this, too. Large companies should buy their own copies. If they don't want to, and don't want to cover an AAA release, good riddance.

And publishers want advertising for their games. Having a few gaming celebrities play them is much more (not quite infinitely more, but close enough) cost effective than putting up posters or doing TV/youtube adverts (not that they don't do that too).

yup it is , but it just discredits those journos for me , i would definetly give some good scores for free games :D
Wee copy and pasted job from a similar thread, but the points still mostly apply -

1. These Streamers would have had a deal in place to grant them access to the game as a means of marketing. Influencer marketing is CDPR bread and butter (for better or worse).

2. They did not lie, the unlock date in, for the general public, the streamers who are streaming it (bar the odd console copies early people) are not the general public in the case.

3. It's not discrimination, bias yes...but not in a negative manner. As we're both streamers, we both understand that we're small and not an appealing option for publishers. Given the size of the channel and the likelihood it's a hobby, there's no real weight on our side to stay within an agreement beyond being blacklisted. Addtionally, we simply do not have the audience. Same way you need an audience of a certain size to get sponsorships and partner etc etc

4. Legal course? come on, this part is just ridiculous. I know you will probably be a little bit mad as you thought streaming it earlier would open up to more viewers and channel growth, but this is not the way to express your view. And even so, Cyberpunk is going to be the biggest game on twitch for a at least a week, so you won't see many new viewers coming in.

5. Take this as a lesson, look at how the influencer market works, and try not to get emotional with your response to it. I hope this clears a few things up, but it's not that deep mate, really. It's just like anything else.

Marketing > audience. Who would you pick? the guy with 150k+ views or someone with less than 100? This isn't a niche title, it's more mainstream than cola or *checks notes* dabbing?

I don't fully agree with how reviews have been handled, but anyone under the impression that being able to play Cyberpunk now would help their twitch grow are very off the mark. You're not going to grow by being lost in the 100,000's of streams.

KIND OF - CDPR gives them review copies, it doesn't give them the ability to stream or show their game for any significant length of time pre release. All the live streams I saw today seem to be non descript and an hour long. I don't find this to be a significant issue. Maybe if CDPR gave them the game just to play a month before the release or something, but...
I would reply with some harmless joke, but fun isn't allowed anymore in this forum ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
