When playing in free mode at the end of the game have another button "Keep Building your Town" and switch to a sandbox type mode with your current progress, so even tho the game is over you still can build it!

a multiplayer feature.

as far as I know the devs of railway empire do not browse the general forums, I suggest you either post in the Railway Empire section or contact the developer directly.
