I saw that the GOG Galaxy 2.0 client requires a minimum of Windows 8 to run it & I will say this is a bit concerning... I'm still on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, should I take this as an indication that I should avoid multiplayer game purchases on GOG until I update (using this term loosely, I don't consider this an update) to Windows 10? Is this going to cut me out of multiplayer functions for the games I already own if I can't run the new client (should the old client be discontinued & no longer accessible for those with earlier OSs)?

I am still on win7 and galaxy works fine...Probably they have it as a minimum from windows 8 because windows 7 is unsupported and won't offer support if anything happens.
2.0 is still in beta, the real question is whether the current version is going to be dropped when 2.0 becomes the main, because that's going to negate anybody who hasn't at least upgraded to Windows 8 or higher. I won't be purchasing any further multiplayer games on GOG until I know that I'm not going to lose that functionality.
