It's just... I get it. I respect the fact that Telltale is making a thing, and they release episodes of the thing all the time. But does anyone care anymore?

The people who buy and play these games, I figure. There have to be some, or Telltale wouldn't be able to keep making these games, eh? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I generally like Telltale's games ( or interactive fiction ), but it's been a while since they worked on a franchise or theme which really interested me. An Indiana Jones series would be great, or maybe a Horror series ( without zombies? ).

Am suprised that gog don't have the same email to put out each time and just change the title, it's what telltale do.
Considering that most superhero movies are drifting further and further into bland, perdictiable, mass market offerings it's kinda nice to have something with a bit more weight to it for those of us who grew up reading DC and Marvel. It's a nice way to revisit the characters and in a somewhat interactive format.

Telltale does solid work, I wouldn't personally put them at the top of the list for interactive story telling (but as always such assessments are rife with subjctive considerations of individual taste), but they are reliable. If you like the subject of the story, and you've enjoyed their prior titles, you can count on enjoying their current offerings.

Yes... I don't know why, but I actually like the Telltale games. I've completed a few of them now and own most of them. I originally thought I would hate them but I tried one (I think it was GOT) and I actually liked it a lot. That said I tend to not buy them until they are complete and maybe on sale.

Without Zombies. Thumb-up x eternity for that. Zombies are kinda dime a dozen nowadays.

Hasn't the big zombie hype already died? I think most people had enough of them, at least for now. Unless a dev comes up with a truly fresh and interesting take on the subject.

I think Telltale's Walking Dead series is good, especially the first game/season, but there's so much else they could do. How about a spooky ghost story? Some psychological Horror in the style of Silent Hill. Or some classic 80s style creature Horror.

Have you played Stasis and Cayne? Cayne is free, btw.

And I like the original F.E.A.R. Never before been so scared of little girls. With the lights off, that was horror. Doom is a scary game. But at some point it get predictable. F.E.A.R surprised me horrorably at some points. And it has a true horoor ending (hope I didn't spoil it, if you hadn't played/ finished it yet).
Get back to me when you start working on Tales of Monkey Island's sequel, Telltale.
