Featuring developer commentary!

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, a dark RPG adventure set in the world of The Witcher, is coming out October 23rd on PC, exclusively via GOG.COM.

Today, developers CD PROJEKT RED released a brand new video showcasing a 37-minute long walkthrough from the game's first act. There's a healthy amount of story, exploration, and turn-based card battle combat for you to enjoy, all with commentary by Paweł Burza (Community Manager), who provides valuable insight into the world of Thronebreaker.

Pre-order Thronebreaker now on GOG.COM

Watch it here.

Watched enough of the game already, and don't want to completely spoil the experience. I hope you'll make more "PvE" gwent in the future, I always enjoyed that aspect of digital card games more, because the PvP aspect always ruined by metadecks/netdecking.

Ummm, how did they settle on 37 minutes? :P
Nice graphics, but they should employ someone from the UK or US to proofread their texts.

I have better ways to waste 37 minutes of my life, thank you.

Other than wasting time posting inane comments in threads you have no interest in, you mean?

Guys, come on, the more you force this on us, the more tired of it we get... the game isn't even out and I can't see another banner telling me to buy it already. Enough is enough.

I'm happy for those who actually like and support Gwent, since they've been promised a proper stand-alone single-player experience and they're finally getting it, but those of us who couldn't care less about Gwent are getting really annoyed by this.

I don't usually come into news threads just to complain, but it reached a point where I actually can't take it anymore. I love GOG, but stop trying to get us to buy a game we don't care about.

Ok, they're pushing this a bit more than usual, but the same argument could be made for any game they release that you're not interested in..

As for why their pushing this so much, this is GOG's first ever game. Not CDPR, GOG. They've bought the rights to others and the rest of the Witcher series is made by their parent / sister company but Gwent (and presumably Thronebreaker) is also made by GOG staff too.
So cut them a little slack and let them advertise and celebrate it.

Which is why I'm most likely going to throw the money at them, though I can't say I enjoy this type of game too much. Because I care. Invest it well, GOG, invest it well.

Exactly. Everybody who comments about being upset because GOG advertises Thronebreaker, I'd love you to take a look at yourself, if you would work on something for a while now and you proud of it, wouldn't you want to share it with the world? GOG is in the fortunate position of having their own store, obviously they are going to use it to show their creation to people.

Anyway, I don't want to attack anybody over this, I was just suprised how often this came up in the recent threads I read and it kinda saddened me, it's always a good idea to look at yourself first before judging others.
Hmm . Thronebreaker .

Never heard of it .
GOG Galaxy doe snot play the Video from the news - says the Videoplayer is not capable.
Would be nice if you can fix that.
Online only video?

Fair point.

But the thing is you don't see me going into release threads of games I'm not interested in just to whine, like a lot of people in these forums love to do. I'm happy when people get the games they like in the digital storefront of their preference, even if it's a title I honestly don't care about.

"A bit more than usual" is kind of euphemistic, whenever I checkout while buying a game there's that banner telling me to buy Thronebreaker. It's intrusive and annoying. Plus, I assume the people who are interested in the game already look for 37 minute gameplay videos on Youtube, what's the point in making an official news thread about it?

I know GOG is directly involved with Gwent -- and, supposedly, Thronebreaker --, and they're proud of their product, it's only natural that they advertise it, since they have the means for it. But when it becomes annoying and intrusive, I think some toning down is advisable. Stellaris is not my kind of game but I was never told to go buy it every time I bought any other game on GOG.
Am I missing something or there's no link to the video?
