CharlesGrey: offline mode
Online was a feature once... now offline is. This is still such an odd term for me, thanks to consoles and GOG.

An offline "mode". "Offline" mode. "Offline mode".

Yeah, no, sorry, does not compute. That can't be a real word. :)

CymTyr: True, but my internet just suddenly got switched off, so I couldn't set any online clients to offline mode.
Yeah, like CharlesGrey said, I vaguely remember that might have been an issue in the past, but it's not anymore. You don't have to be online to switch to offline mode, and you should be able to play most single player games in it. Achievements, time tracking and cloud saving are disabled, but the games still work.
Thanks, guys, I had no idea Steam lets you do that nowadays. I haven't tried in a couple of years. Good to know!

The only time I ever log into steam is to buy something.

Hmm they must view GOG as a threat, because it didn't use to be this way.

Is it game specific as to that fix working? I have a few games I've picked up and I've never been able to get any of them to launch while I'm at the library.

Granted GTA is probably something I shouldn't be playing there....
