All of a sudden a slew of games are showing updated in my games folder but cant find any change logs or any kind of news as to why . It seems totally random. Anyone else seeing this??

GOG-related updates, such as better integration with Galaxy etc, the games themselves are the same.

Yes, I am seeing the same fake updates with no changelog entries. It's probably another GOG bug.
I think GOG might just be changing the installer file names. For some reason.
I am assuming that the mysterious word in the title is pronounced "ooh-AH-tayd", and that is a type of bread made by an obscure people living in the Himalayas.
Yeah, suddenly 49 update flags active (out of my 1429 games). Probably mostly some minor installer changes or something (like better Galaxy integration, cloud support etc., even if one doesn't even use Galaxy), BUT of course the problem is one wouldn't know, without checking each and every game's changelog (if available) one by one. For instance, Titan Quest has received a real game update two days ago (it is one of those 49 games appearing updated for me).

Either way, I'll probably end up redownloading them all with gogrepo... Oh well, fortunately I don't have a capped internets so I'll just download them in the background at some point.

For those who download a game only when they are going to install and play it, I guess this doesn't matter much. But I keep a local collection, up to date.
