Hi, I would just like to say how fantastic Gog is. I have just joined after discovering it while googling the web. I am a member of Steam and I have just resigned from Raise game and Metaboli due to problems with the yummy player, and lack of support. I was amazed at the price of Gog games (especially with all the extra's with the games) Also the the speed of download. I have just downloaded Witcher which took approx 30mins, an equivalent download with steam takes me about 2 to 3 hours (I get 16mb download speed from my isp). I am even more impressed with lack of drm, I have just lost several games which cost me £40 to £50 on steam, as they link the games (which you are supposed to own!) to your steam account. So lose your login and you can t reinstall your games, they do send a login reset, but if you change your email address that fails.
As I said I was a member of Metaboli for several years, initially you got new games every week, and I had no problems with the yummy player (software to allow games to be played), however for the last few years I have not been able to get the new yummy player to work (why they changed the original which worked I cant work our!) Also the new games do not seem forthcoming.
WELL DONE! Gog keep it up and I will be a life time member.
