There are 32 Interplay games on gog. 4 I already own – that leaves 28, from which 8 are on my “must-have” list - followed by 10-15 on “nice-to-have” list. Even if discount factor will be significant - it’s just to much for me to bite in one snack. What we need is not 1 Interplay entire catalog weekend-promo but a series (say 6-8) of small promos which cover their entire catalog.

I went through their catalog and added everything of theirs that I don't have to my wishlist. The MDKs, Earthworm Jim, Shogo, Sacrifice, the Descents, the Freespaces, Giants and Kingpin.

That's a lot of money I don't have.

(I already have the Fallouts. :p)

Delixe: I don't think anyone would be surprised by this. Hell we are still to see anything other than concept art about Project: V13. All Interplay are these days is a bunch of clueless business investors sitting on what they think is valuable IP.
All Interplay has been for years is Herve Caen and some yes-man directors. Of the five directors, the primary employment of four is with Interplay.

Not surprising he can't raise capital. Would you lend him a million? The only thing they can do to keep themselves a going concern is to sell enough of their IP as cheap and fast as they can, to get their taxes paid up.

If I had it I would...but then again i'd negotiate terms a mile long, like making new titles in old franchises that fans would buy.
I already bought the Fallout trilogy here out of fear that Interplay may lose the rights to sell the series to Bethesda or something. Besides that, I have Descent 1+ 2, and have had many of their games on my wishlist for half a year now. A good deal of us are probably desperate for a sale, especially now, and for the right discount I'd gladly get the whole lot.

Interplay has some of the most major games here. Fallout is practically the poster child of GOG. I'd love the sale, but it'd be a monumental shame for future customers to no longer be able to buy games from Interplay's library. :(

Hear us, Interplay. Want our money or not?

He has no development resources, nor can he obtain them. Game development is capital-intensive, because coders and artists work for considerable salaries paid before the company collects the first dollar in sales, not for speculative promises.

What you propose is what Bethesda already tried. Interplay had to come up with funding and a credible plan for the Fallout MMO. Herve Caen did neither. That's why it's in litigation.

Apparently there's 17 Interplay games I don't own that are on GOG. Maybe if they go on sale I'll pick them all up. :D

Whether or not Gog loses the ability to sell their games, they'll probably still have a sale for all those here that weren't around for the first round of promos.

I still would invest though, within reason, if my terms were met.......and also just hire a bunch of intern/low experience devs and use them.

Freespace 2 was my first gog game on gog. Than after loooong wait for Interplay promo I purchased Fallouts because I was afraid Bethesda will take over them. I'm NOT interested in Battle Chess, Conquest of the new World, Evolva, Invictus, Kingdom, Kingpin, Redneck, Shattered Steel, Shogo and VR Soccer - so it would cost me $50 (with -50%) to buy what I want. I can handle this but not in one shot.
This "company" needed to die a long time ago. Hopefully it happens now.

I know that sounds somewhat uncaring and such, but honestly the way this company has been run for years now is borderline evil. Time to let it go.
Is it possible that Interplay games disappear from Gog for sale?
Man, I hope there will be a promo tomorrow or on weekend. I don't want to waste 70 bucks
The quickest cheapest way they can recoup costs on their IP's without selling them would be to do one of two things, first make a Facebook game, make a Farmville-esque game with an existing license or make an isometric low budget game and pop it up for 6 or 7 pounds, pop it up on steam with a free TF2 hat.

That and give the heads up for GoG and Steam to have sales using the games they already have available.
Wow, there are a LOT of Interplay games I still need to get on GOG. I hope there is a promo soon.
