tburger: Freespace 2 was my first gog game on gog. Than after loooong wait for Interplay promo I purchased Fallouts because I was afraid Bethesda will take over them. I'm NOT interested in Battle Chess, Conquest of the new World, Evolva, Invictus, Kingdom, Kingpin, Redneck, Shattered Steel, Shogo and VR Soccer - so it would cost me $50 (with -50%) to buy what I want. I can handle this but not in one shot.
My first game here was Baldur's Gate. There's never been a promo on any Interplay games since I joined. My must-haves include Descent 3 + Expansion, Earthworm Jim 1 + 2, F/A-18E Super Hornet, Freespace + Expansion, Freespace 2, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Sacrifice, Screamer, Shattered Steel, and Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. I neglected to mention before that I also have Stonekeep, which I got as a gift (it's a great game, by the way). At half-off, that'd be $30. Those are all the games I'd be absolutely furious about not getting if they just vanished. The other games I very much want, but not quite as desperately are Battle Chess Special Edition, Castles + Castles 2, Conquest of the New World, Die by the Sword + Expansion, Kingpin: Life of Crime, M.A.X. + M.A.X. 2, MDK, MDK 2, Messiah, and Redneck Rampage Collection. I'd probably need a better discount than 50%, but I wouldn't want to miss out on these.
At 75% off or more, though, the whole lot would be cheap enough that I'd get the rest as curiosities. At $1.50, as long as a game provides an hour of fun or has at least one good extra I'd be happy. Earthworm Jim 3D wasn't exactly, well, good, but for $1.50 it'd be worth revisiting again, as well as listening to the soundtrack, and I might discover I quite like one of the games I'm less interested in.
