Need help finding an Older RPG!

I did ask this same question years ago but can't find the post anymore and so sorry that I have to ask again as I really want to play this great RPG once more. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Gang:

I need your help finding the title of an RPG I played years ago.

All I remember was that is was futuristic (sci-fi type) where people lived in Cities that had skyscrapers about 200 stories high and the ones living at the top were rather healthy, educated and were the ones in government.

But something went wrong way down at ground level and the Elite had to send a science team down below to fix a generator or whatever it was. Now mostly peeps at the top had never went down below as it was populated by monsters or mutants and rabid robots.

All I remember is that the specialized team had like a Gunner warrior type, a techno computer wiz, one was an engineer that handled robots and maybe there was a medic with them as well.

I really need the title so I can purchase or Dl it for my collection and apologizing in advance if that is all the information I have at this time.

I did check online but with nothing specific to search with I came out with no luck.

Any help you have would be appreciated.

It came out around the time or not too long after Arcanum, Planescape Torment or Baldurs Gate 2 if that helps. And also you played in 3rd person and could switch to FP.
