so I have been disappointed with EA getting the rights to the star wars games for some time now, but recently came to the realization that since EA has cooperated with putting some of their older games on GOG, maybe they are willing to let the older star wars games on here. I.E, Dark Forces and Galactic Battlegrounds.

well yes, they're still asses like that, but if I can't play Dead Space 3 without commercial Spyware, I want to at least have a digital copy of Galactic Battlegrounds since my old discs don't work anymore

I don't think the old SWgames are part of the publishing deal. Or are they selling the first 2 KOTORs via Origin?

Re-releases usually can't be done without the explicit permission from all rights holders. In case of old Star Wars games, that probably includes Disney (who bought LucasArts). LucasArts never seemed to care about their back catalog, and so far there has been no indication that Disney is treating it any different.

Most of this is just an educated guess, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Edit: Also, I think the deal between EA and Disney was meant for future games, not for the back catalog?

The deal was for future SW games only. EA does not have the rights to old SW games.

And don't sort their garbage for recycling.

Even worse, they don't put the cap back on their pens after use and they claim to not feel a difference between chiclet keyboards and mechanical switches.
