hmcpretender: In the modern age though, at least in the western world, women don't have to fight for their basic rights. They have in most countries a higher expectancy of life, a higher quality of life (exemplified in a drastically lower suicide rate), a higher education, and are much less likely to be a victim of intra-species violence or end up in jail.
So tell me about things such as Divorce Rights, the wage & promotion gap, and [Woah, that might be too spicy for this forum!]
Two days I've been thinking what the title of this thread reminds me of, and I finally figured it out - it sounds like a title of an episode of Police Squad.

I think its an actual title of an episode of the old Dragnet radio show from the 50s - one that partially inspired the 1980s film.

Not sure about the situation in your country but I never heard anyone complaining about divorce rights in Germany. Maybe you want to give some insights here. The absolute gender pay gap in my country is about 18% mainly due to woman preferring less lucrative fields of work like social care as well as working less years in their lives and less hours per week. It shrinks to 5% when comparing men and women in the same job and further to 2% when comparing the same professional experience level. That is not 0% admittedly but well within the range of personal responsibility. It is also constantly declining. To no one's surprise the media most of the time only communicates the first number, usually paired with the demand "equal pay for equal work", which it isn't even related to. And then they are wondering why no one is reading the newspaper anymore...

Now, some may find it unfair that those less lucrative, often women dominated fields of work I mentioned, don't offer higher wages but that is not a gender issue as it affects the men working there just the same. Some may find it suspicious that women aren't flooding the better paid fields of work and dedicate their lives to their careers and may see some sort of patriarchal conspiracy at work. Truth is that social status (=wealth mostly) is the primary consideration in female partner choice, whereas it is almost a non-factor in male partner choice. Women tend to marry older, richer men and therefore often can afford to work less while poor men are in much tougher spot. The pressure on a man to be successful at work is therefore much higher. That is probably one of the reasons for women's higher quality of life and lower suicide rate which I mentioned earlier. There are other factors in addition such as a higher average agreeability among women which, although considered as a positive personality trait, negatively correlates with professional success.

My suggestion to OP is to share their thoughts with the actual CP77 community that their cited example is based on rather than in the general discussion forums of a sister company.

With this bat I do consecrate!
CDPR & GOG both went fully woke way before Cyberpunk 2077, starting with the Witcher 2 which removed the woman cards for no good reason, and after that their subsequent games have just become regressively even more woke each time.

I agree that for gamers not to support woke games with their money is for the best.

But unfortunately, that's becoming increasingly impossible to do, since all major companies that produce video games in our modern times are woke, and thus wreck all of their games accordingly.

Very few games released within the past 10 years are immune to being wrecked by wokeness --- not even Stellar Blade which the OP is apparently championing, but whose devs very much bent the knee, as the OP says, and in order to bow to the woke agenda, they censored that game in a multitude of different ways before day one of its release.

Well, I already have enough games for the next 20 years at least, I very much CAN sit this out. Purchasing additional games is entirely optional for me, especially games from major companies which usually have a lot of additional issues.

In the case of Stellar Blade the ideological reasoning behind the censorship is really secondary imho. Much more severe is the fact, that customers didn't get the product they ordered. When I order a swimsuit or a bunny costume (not that I do this often ;) ) and it looks different than advertised I return it immediately. This is fraud, plain and simple. And let's be honest here: Stellar Blade played the sex-sells-card very intentionally and now has to deliver on it. Doesn't matter how good the combat is, no one would have bought it if Eve looked like that hag from Star Wars Outlaws.

Breja: It's hilarious how depending on whether the thread is about some new porn game/visual novel release, or about some social media outrage either the anit-huge boobies and pro-huge boobies people get scornfully labled as "right wing" :D
Poster 1: "I dislike that this game censors some of the characters"
Poster 2: "Zomg, stop yer crying about missing boobies ya right wing perv!"

Poster 1: "I feel that this game has too much sexual content"
Poster 2: "Don't ya like sexual expression ya right wing prude?"

Yet another term/phrase overused by useful idjits online to label anyone they dislike.
