I've read that its a game distributer for old games like Warcraft and you can link your account to Steam, so it caught my interest. How do so?

Do keep in mind that when games are available through Connect, you have a limited time to redeem them, but when you have redeemed them, they are on your GOG account permanently. You'll have to check that page every so often (usually around big sales) to know which games are available.
