eksasol: You don't eat it straight, you heat it up and it become bubbly with the jello like texture. But most people from North America have an icky thing with mucilaginous texture like okra so chia is probably not ideal.
Anyway, I prefer to get animal derived omega 3 now,, so I stopped the whole hemp/flax/chia thing. So eggs and krill oil for me.
