I'm gettting this error with galaxy launcher with various games, which makes it basically useless for me. I use a SSD and yes I have enough disc space. I don't use a system folder for installations, I have a games folder on C: where I install my games to.

Seems to be a permission thing, tried launching galaxy with admin rights, it didn't start.

So I guess now I know why this Launcher is "beta". This same issue has been brought up several times on gog sites and nobody was able to help or offer an explanation why this happens.

This seriously needs to be fixed.

Are you by any chance installing anything in, say, the Program Files directory?

When precisely do you get the error, right away? after downloading?

A wee bit more specific? ;)
Also which games (just a few)?
the folder you are putting it in is not restricted in a (sorry ;) ) stupid way, like guest) (just asking, sometimes it is hard to see the forest because of the tree in front of you (tried to translate as best as possible ;) )

Your username/account on your PC has no ÖÄÜ or similar?

EDIT: Thanks for the answer, just checking
EDIT: username, do you use any NON-latin character in it?
Post edited October 21, 2016 by Goodaltgamer
No i don't have any non-latin characters in my username. I had this disc access errors in medal of honor and interstate 76.

I have reinstalled the galaxy client and this problem doesn't seem to occur anymore, so I consider it solved for now, altough I suppose it is possible I will get this error again in the future, which I don't like.

Thank you very much for the fast responses, next time I will just contact the gog support, feels kind of bad wasting other people time with problems that should be resolved by gog.

How to say it ;)

You will get quicker response via the forum as several of us are working with Galaxy. And as Galaxy is still beta, it would take a much longer response time ;)

And we are all goggers, if we didn't want to help, we wouldn't answer :P
