So I'm not sure why, but from the Galaxy client, I seem to be getting extremely slow download speed, only about half a mb, normally I get substantially faster download speeds, any one have an idea as to why this would be happening?

Usually that's a sign that GoG Galaxy can't see past your firewall. Without knowing what OS and firewall you;re running, it's hard to point you in the right direction.

I've been noticing that as well. When I download a game from my library it will start off really low, like 1.2 MB/sec or something like that. Usually though it will start speeding up into the 6-7 MB/sec range.

If the download speed remains low for me it's because others in the house are using the Internet at the same time.

Download the files from the site, the client has major speed issues for downloading. I gave up on galaxy a year ago due to taking 4 hours to download a game that takes 30 minutes from the site.

Dang, well thanks for the responses, far as I can tell it's not being blocked, but I'll check again, might have to just go through the website again then.
