Im trying to play Spellforce 3 Reforged but everytime i press F12 to cast an ability from the quick bar, in addition to the ability being cast, GOG tries to take a screenshot.

Is there a way to unmap this or stop it trying? I removed write permissions from the screenshot folder but it still tried and showed an error saying it failed to write, which is probably more annoying cos the sound is more otrusive than the screenshot one, which is already irritating!

The obvious solution is to run it without Galaxy. Then F12 won't need remapping as it won't get hijacked by the client in the first place.
I think just disabling the Galaxy overlay in the Galaxy settings should stop it.
Just disable Galaxy's overlay for the game.

-Click the options buttons on the game page in Galaxy
-Go to "manage installation", then "configure"
-Go to "features" tab and uncheck the overlay for the game

This is always the correct answer :)

You can also just disable it globally:
Galaxy Options in the top left - Settings - Game Features - uncheck Overlay.

Much better than doing it on a per game basis.
Wait, there isn't an option to disable the feature, but keep the overlay? O_o

There's no option to disable taking screenshots or to change the key used. The feature was requested at least as far back as 2015.

Take in-game screenshots with rebindable key

Depends if the person wants to disable the feature just for that one game or not.

Frankly, it's the only thing I really use the overlay for. *shrug*
