Up to 75% off some mighty gaming stallions: Darksiders 1+2, King's Bounty series, Kingdom: New Lands, and more!

What good is a hero without his trusty mount? The one that will tirelessly carry him across chaotic battlefields and towards epic quests, or at least allow him to bravely flee any immediate danger. No matter the circumstances, Heroes on Horseback never fail to look majestic and awe-inspiring: Whether they're inspecting the troops, slashing down the enemy's infantry, or just riding against wonderful backdrops. But hey, even they can afford a moment of humility, allowing their adventures to be offered for up to 75% off. They're just chivalrous like that.

You can't be a proper Horseman of the Apocalypse without a badass mount, now can you. Both Darksiders understand that too well, but even when you're on foot, the intense fighting, tight platforming, and clever puzzles will keep you just as engaged.

A sturdy horse is essential when you're out on a long, turn-based adventure to collect the King's Bounty, along with a whole bunch of magical creatures and mercenaries who will fight for your glory.

Magical storms and vast armies are all well and good but in order to conquer the other Etherlords, you will also need to use diplomacy, turn-based tactics, and the powerful cards you've collected in your travels.

Spur your magnificent steed and try to catch up with the other Heroes on Horseback. They are riding towards all sorts of intriguing destinations, like: Kingdom: New Lands, Legends of Eiselwald, Eador. Masters of the Broken World, and more!
The promo will last until October 21, 9:59 AM UTC.

eiii: It's $2.49 for me (50% off), which is more than 2 €. Has the price of it changed during the promo or is it really that much cheaper in Sweden?

Ricky_Bobby: What the ... ? I could have sworn it said €1.19 yesterday. Now it's €2.29.
Man that is strange, I'm so sure it said €1.19.
GOG's prices are not supposed to change daily, so I must have been wrong, jeez that's weird though.
I'm pretty sure they stealth-lowered the price reduction from 75% to 50%.

Ghorpm: So what’s the difference between these two games? The first one plays more like a standard TBS game. You have a castle, hire heroes, capture resource producing sites, fight stationary monsters and enemy’s heroes. The second one is more story oriented - you have a single hero to control and you roam the map to gain experience, find new clues about your quest etc. Some prefer the former, others the latter. At that price I think you should really buy and play both of them. It’s not necessary to know the story of the first game to enjoy the second but it’s still beneficial.

TL;DR buy both Etherlords games
Awesome thanks for this! I was coming in here to ask about these - specifically the differences (from reading the reviews I gathered basically what you said). Now to figure which to grab ;)

I was actually super excited to see them on sale again so soon. I meant to pick one up last month when they were part of a weekend promo. Then that "Back to School" sale started, and I thought to myself "Huh, I'll wait a few days to see what pops up and that way if I want to grab anything from the sale in a day or two I'll just do one order." Yeah... totally spaced and forgot Etherlords were a WEEKEND sale LOL and not part of the "big" sale proper.

*EDIT TO ADD* Okay went with the first one. In the end, I passed on what a lot of reviews suggested was the better game for the added strategic layer. Let's see if I can't get through the manual in time to fire this one up tonight!

You are welcome! I'm glad I could help and encourage yet another person to buy Etherlords :D

As it's the same price for you now I also think they initially had entered the DLCs with the discount of the main game and then (silently) reduced the discount for the DLCs to 50%.

Edit: Thanks to [url=http://www.an-ovel.com/cgi-bin/magog.cgi?ver=764&scp=gdspurio&dsp=p&ord=&flt=tcs~eisenwald~]here's the proof: Both DLCs had a discount of 75 resp. 74% on October 17th 2016. :)

Gotta be a glitch - I'm still seeing the same prices.

I know sometimes when I first arrive at the site, before I log in the currency will once in a while "flake out" (I've seen Euro and Canadian dollars before LOL - and I don't use any fancy IP whatsits either). Maybe that's what happened to you?
How about this guy?

Do you already own them?

GOG does this silly thing sometimes where if you already own the game you can buy it again for a bigger discount, but if not, you get a lesser discount for 1st time buying.

Price is still the same after the change.

Is this like a conditioning mechanism to try and make people buy games faster when they put up sales?

Whatever it is, is fucking bogus. Especially since (as far as I know) there hasn't been a single fucking word from GOG on what happened.

I throw a flaming shit-bag through your window, GOG.
