dtgreene: I take it further; I would actually prefer if games wouldn't track time in the first place, at least not by default.

(Then again, I actually prefer it when games *don't* have voice acting.)

Maighstir: I would prefer that Galaxy ONLY tracks time when games that HAVE voice acting AND have voice acting enabled ARE actively played AND DON'T use voice acting. Ie. games that DON'T have voice acting should NEVER be tracked, and games that DO, should NOT be tracked whenever voice acting IS played, but SHOULD whenever voice acting is NOT played.

Make it so, NOW! GOG.

EDIT: Also, reverse this while in any kind of menus or the player is actively jumping - or trying to jump if the game doesn't support jumping.

Shouldn't be very difficult. I mean, the GOG team are wizards, are they not?
I was hesitant to comment this on the forum fearing that nobody else would agree on what I think it's a basic feature, and let's hope it gets implemented soon because it's really annoying to see how the time keeps counting when smashing the jump button in a game with absolutely no voice acting.

nightcraw1er.488: I don't understand the appeal of tracking game time in the first place, "oh look, I just wasted two days of my life playing VHelsing" - for example. Have an achievement for pointlessness.
So you can see which games you love the most.
The has focus/doesn't have focus method would be fine by me.
Bblokes who 'question' (to put it mildly) game-time tracking purpose are clearly lost. You should seek help elsewhere.

They must be, this is clearly demonstrated by the constant stream of popular improvements the website and especially the forum have seen since GOG's opening.

Haha, I assume that was sarcasm.
I doubt this will ever happen. If it does it will be game specific since this would likely have to be coded in. Right now Galaxy starts counting as you guessed when the exe is ran, just like on Steam... and since not even they do something like this makes it even more unlikely that GOG will.
Game tracking should be also stopped whenever you're not looking at screen, phone rings, gold fish needs an attention or mummy calls for a dinner. Can be easily done with camera/microphone tracking software, so why isn't this a feature yet??
Windows 10 might already has it so it'd be as simple as any other system calls ; )
