My most favorite on the series. Pretty difficult game but MAN is it fun. It somehow still has a small active PVP community.
The building of AC is fun since it has tons of parts and it even has a secret First person mode when you finish the game. I really want people to experience this awesomeness!
Only recently this year finished the Zinaida route, and I get why this game has the reputation of hardest Armored Core game. Every mission is a game over, ACs using human plus that the player doesn't get in any form, the introduction of pulverizers and the AC fights just being generally harder than all of the other games. One big down for this game is the arena and having to ante before each fight. Lastly, the Leviathan ending was my first ending to this game.
My favorite Armored Core game hands down, well next to For Answer. Yes, it's the hardest game in the entire series, but it's also the most rewarding too as each playthrough makes you even more a badass mech pilot than you originally thought you were. Then you have Zinnaida, who might as well be Melenia on Ultimate Warrior's Steroid Stash laced with bath salts. The Final Pulverizer is especially my favorite final boss, as you feel like you're facing a world ending threat. Lastly the customization is the most robust the Armored Core series has been up to this point. I even made my own iteration of White Glint as it is one of my favorite mechas of all times.
If I could only chose 1 Armored Core game to get a PC port, it would be this one (with the content from the Portable release). It's customization is incredibly deep, the campaign is excellent, and oh baby the music is so good I imported the CD. I so badly want a PC port with functioning multiplayer.
Earthworm Jim: Special EditionThe game's Special Edition was released for the Sega Genesis add-on, the Sega CD. It was based on the Genesis version, contained all of its levels, plus some extended section to the levels and a single completely new level, titled "Big Bruty", a new remixed CD audio soundtrack, as well as around 1,000 more frames of in-game animation. These versions were also the only ones to contain alternate endings when winning on the "Easy" or "Difficult" difficulties, in which a narrator rambles on about many (false) facts about worms or congratulates the player in a similar absurd manner respectively. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control.
