Portal Runner
Portal RunnerThe characters from 3DO's popular ARMY MEN series have invaded the Game Boy Color! This time, you take control of Vikki Grimm as she battles the evil Brigitte Blue. Though you begin as a pint-sized plaything, you can eventually travel to worlds that are of an accommodating size over seven different locations. Each world contains numerous levels, resulting in 43 scenarios overall. Throughout your journey you'll come across swamps, dungeons, and even intergalactic spaceships. Each level progresses like typical a side-scrolling game, with plenty of action and adventure awaiting you. Some environments offer different weapons and enemies, and you'll even get the opportunity to commandeer a vehicle on some levels. For those with a penchant for exploration, there are even some hidden worlds to discover that offer even more amazing discoveries and challenges. Progress can be saved using a password system based on which levels have already been conquered. PORTAL RUNNER is a graphically impressive game for a portable system and it promises hours of gameplay, harrowing challenges, and an exciting story to follow.

Zelda's Adventure
Zelda's AdventureIn the 1990s Nintendo made a deal with Philips to develop 3 Zelda titles. The first 2 were side scrolling platformers, similar to Zelda II, and the third was a traditional top-down action adventure game. Zelda’s Adventure looked interesting and it would be fun to play on a portable system. The Game Boy was chosen because of the existing Zelda games on the system. The game sticks to the aesthetics of Link’s Awakening, but also incorporates some features from Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. This is a complete port of the CDi original and was developed in GB Studio, with a few modifications.

Hydrophobia
HydrophobiaIn Hydrophobia the player takes the role of engineer Kate Wilson who works on the cruise ship Queen of the World. Unfortunately terrorists took over and placed bombs all over the ship and after detonating them chaos breaks loose. Now Kate has to fight for her life. In this environment water plays an important role and it emphasizes realistic water representation. Water is the main component in many of the game's puzzles in which Kate uses her kinetic powers, gained in the second half. Other puzzles involve using an universal device to hack security installations (as a mini-game) or find out codes to open doors. Those are written in an invisible font on walls and have to made visible with her tool. The rest of the game consists of climbing sections and shoot outs with terrorists. Here the game uses a traditional cover system and five ammo types.
