Story:The SNES version of the game was released in 1993. It is fundamentally a left-to-right scrolling fighter beat 'em up, a genre that was featured heavily on the console at the time. The gameplay and graphics are very similar to the Final Fight games. The game takes the player through seven scenes featured in the film. Each scene has a boss fight that Batman must win in order to proceed to the next scene.Show more

Because I love the old Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher Batman movies from the 80s and 90s as those movies are very nostalgic including their tie-in videogame adaptations.

Gameplay is quite typical for the genre, like in Final Fight, Streets of Rage, or Cadillacs and Dinosaurs - players go right, beat the enemies (player has access to various attacks), collect bonuses and money, and fight against bosses, for example Dr. Saturn and his robots. The action is the name of the game here and there are lots of it. Using different weapons, you smack the opposition to kingdom come. Many, many times. After that, it's more smacking.
