Story:BeamNG.drive is a realistic, immersive driving game offering near-limitless possibilities. Our soft-body physics engine simulates every component of a vehicle in real time, resulting in realistic, dynamic behavior. The driving feel is authentic and visceral, and crashes are realistic and violent; yet the physics are accessible enough to drive with a keyboard or gamepad while still being authentic with a full racing wheel with uncompromising realism.Show more

I was so excited after reading about this game in the last few months. Unfortunately I do not want to use Steam or deal with anything always online or that has draconian DRM. It will be a day one buy the moment it comes to GOG.

Although you can get this game DRM free on Humble Bundle, a GOG release would be nice too! This game is realistic... maybe too realistic. It is so fun to go from not being able to drive for 2 seconds without crashing to whipping through traffic and corners with ease... most of the time. There's a big community around this game with good mod support. This game has none of the modern bull, the online aspects are optional, built into the game, and can be toggled on/off at any point.
An obvious pick for GOG that is rather lacking in racing games and racing sims in particular. It's a game that goes for maximum realism but also maxim freedom. All kinds of cars and all kinds of tracks are available. It's available elsewhere, but having it on GOG would be convenient.
Those games also need your vote!

PHM Pegasus
PHM PegasusPHM Pegasus is a naval combat simulation game developed by Lucasfilm Games and released in 1986. The game puts players in command of a U.S. Navy hydrofoil missile craft, specifically the PHM (Patrol Hydrofoil Missilecraft) Pegasus class. Set in the Gulf of Sidra during a period of heightened tensions with Libya, PHM Pegasus offers a unique blend of strategy and action. Players must navigate the hydrofoil through hostile waters, engaging enemy vessels and aircraft while managing the ship's resources and systems. The game features multiple mission types, including patrol, escort, and attack scenarios. PHM Pegasus stands out for its attention to detail and realism, incorporating elements such as radar operation, weapon selection, and damage control. The hydrofoil's ability to switch between displacement and foilborne modes adds an extra layer of tactical decision-making. With its combination of strategic planning and real-time combat, PHM Pegasus provides a challenging and immersive naval warfare experience that was ahead of its time for mid-1980s computer gaming.

Platoon
PlatoonThe film Platoon featured a squad of five soldiers on their mission for the US Army in Vietnam. In this action game based around the film, you take control of these five guys in turn, with the chance to switch between them as they each take one of the 3 hits that would kill them. The game recreates each of the sections of the film, starting with a side-scrolling journey through the jungle, with paths to cross both horizontally and vertically, and the ability to jump or duck hazards. You will need to blow up a bridge and then locate a village, which contains a torch, a map and a trap-door. The enemy has booby-trapped the area and are launching airstrikes, so the danger is not all from enemy ground soldiers.

Zarch
ZarchThe player, piloting a lone craft with limited firepower, must defend a finite landscape against ever increasing waves of enemy craft. In Zarch, the landscape is being invaded by aliens who are spreading a virus across the landscape. The seeder vessels are slow-moving, predictable, and easily destroyed, but as the game progresses they are supported by increasing numbers of flying support craft, which do not scatter virus but instead attack the player. The seeder vessels scatter red virus particles across the landscape. As they land, they turn the green landscape to brown and red, and cause the trees to mutate. Some flying enemies shoot the mutated trees, to cause themselves to become much more aggressive and dangerous. To clear each attack wave, the player must destroy all enemy vessels. At the conclusion of each attack wave the player is awarded bonus points for the amount of landscape which remains uninfected. After four attack waves have been successfully repelled, the player is awarded a new landscape; however, there is comparatively less land and more water, making complete infection more likely.
