Burnout Paradise

Burnout Paradise (2008)

by Criterion Games, Electronic Arts
Genres:Racing
Themes:Open world, Action, Sandbox
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Evolve or die. For Paradise, we knew we had to change everything. Burnout was a killer arcade driving game, but for a new generation of hardware and connected player Burnout had to become something more ambitious. Closed tracks made way for an expansive, open city, and we seamlessly synced your friends into the action and let you loose on a heap of cool challenges that unsurprisingly rewarded you for driving like a lunatic. Hey, it’s us after all.Show more

Why the Original Burnout Paradise Should Be on GOG Burnout Paradise (2008) is one of the most thrilling arcade racing games ever made. With its open-world design, insane crash physics, and high-speed action, it redefined what a racing game could be. The original PC version captured the heart of fans with its raw intensity, tight controls, and a killer licensed soundtrack featuring artists like Guns N’ Roses and Killswitch Engage. However, the original release has become increasingly difficult to access. The Remastered version, while improved in some ways, altered or removed certain features, music, and visual elements that made the classic version feel unique. That’s why GOG should bring back the original Burnout Paradise, DRM-free and optimized for modern PCs—complete with controller support and the original licensed music. GOG’s commitment to preserving important gaming titles makes it the perfect home for this fan-favorite. Let’s give Paradise City the digital preservation it deserves.
