Story:Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is a side-scrolling, beat 'em up arcade game based on the comic book series Xenozoic Tales. In the game, the player has access to several attacks. Each character has two special moves including one that depletes a character's health upon contact with an enemy and when two or more players play together, they can trigger a team-attack. One of the best side scrolling beat'em up games of all time. It is a crime that Capcom just abandoned the game and never released it with other beat'em ups on the Switch or other consoles.
I would save my allowance as an 11 year old and sneak onto local bars in my small village in Portugal, to play this game, I love it and it is a great game to play with friends. Of course, I never beat the game at the arcade machine because it would quickly ramp up the difficulty and drain all the quarters.
Many years later, I was able to play it again through Mame, and it has been part of my games library ever since, I play it a few times a year. Still think it is as great as Sengoku 3 and Streets of Rage 2.
Today a friend wanted to start some random side scrolling beat'em up cuz it was available for free on different platform than GOG. Took maybe 2minutes after starting it to realize the game had only local co-op.
At that moment I mentioned something I played as a kid in arcades (Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Sunset Riders), and as soon as I mentioned it memories came to mind.
I bothered my parents for money to go play few times at the arcade every day. In most cases alongside me played my brother , few times whoever was there that joined.
In todays world of hyper real graphics and other weirder stuff I feel more interested and I enjoy those games and graphics of early days.
Thats why GOG is my primary platform to look for a game I would like to have fun with - and if it has (ONLINE) co-op then its even better. So please GOG bring this one back (with Online co-op function).
