This was one of the few 3D Castlevania games I'd liked (Lament of Innocence being the other), I played it with my mom as a kid and I'd absolutely loved the combat system. The pet system as well I thought was super interesting, especially with how pet evolutions were tracked via your combat style.
I have extremely fond memories of sinking hours and hours into it on the ps2; I always loved it and found it to be a perfectly fine castlevania game with some cool ideas; It has its issues (Isaac for one, how ridiculously big the individual rooms can be for another) but its full of mysticism, atmosphere and fun castlevania lore that gets overlooked completely.

I played this game as a child, and as a Castlevania fan, I loved the game instantly. The crafting system and the Devil Forging are very nice and add a special touch to this game. The combat is nice and the soundtrack is amazing. Definitely an underrated gem that deserves a chance.

The best story of the franchise, a unique game mechanics with the familiars and the craft system, the peak of 3D castlevania boss fights, one of the best soundtracks of all and a wonderful horror atmosphere, the game have some problems like the corridor level design, but in the end, It is an underrated gem that must be preserved, and i'll never forget the first time i finished it.

The Castlevania-Pokémon 3D that turned out really well! Hector and Isaac are incredible characters, the Innocent Devils system and the weapon forging are simply amazing, the game design has evolved a lot in relation to Lament of Innocence, Ayami Kojima's character design continues to be incredible and Michiru Yamane's music is as always fascinating! This work of art, along with Lament of Innocence, has to get a PC version urgently!

I never had games in my ps2 , only lego ones, and this is one of my first ones that my dad expent a lot of time and work to save money for me and for him buy por me, in a period of time that get original games was not only hard to find, but also expensive.
The best 3D Castlevania game ever, with very good game design ideas! Played it when i was a kid and i always found it an underrated gem. I hope that new generations will discover it thanks to you, to make them fall in love with one of the best videogame series of all time!
Best combat system ever created. You have minions that will evolve according to the weapon you use, so you are stimulated to use different weapons all the time. This is one of the best games I have ever played.
This game was my first experience with the Castlevani franchise and I fell in love with it. I loved every single aspect of the game, and I remember not beign able to put it down.

By far the best 3D Castlevania experience out there. It feels like a genuine Symphony of the Night "copy and paste" to 3D, with pretty much every existing mechanic in the appraised 2D classical to 3D but improved even further. Sadly, the 3D graphics made it age badly and how weird the camera plays on it contributes heavily for this, but don't be mistaken. This is the best Castlevania game right after Symphony of the Night and those who haven't tried it yet, should give it a got right now. The OST isn't so good compared to SotN though, but still really nice, especially for some mesmerising songs in save or demons rooms.
Those games also need your vote!
Half-Life
Half-LifeDr. Gordon Freeman doesn't speak, but he's got a helluva story to tell. This first-person roller-coaster initiated a new era in the history of action games by combining engrossing gameplay, upgraded graphics, ingenious level design and a revolutionary story that may not be all that it seems, told not through cutscenes, but through the visual environment.

Parasite Eve II
Parasite Eve IIParasite Eve II is an action role-playing survival horror video game released exclusively for the PlayStation. The game was developed by Square and published in Japan in 1999 and in both North America and, unlike the previous game, in PAL regions in 2000. It is the sequel to Parasite Eve and the second game in the series of the same name. Parasite Eve II is set several years after the events in the original game. The protagonist from the first game, Aya Brea, also features in this game as the playable character. She becomes involved with another outbreak of Mitochondrial creatures. Gameplay diverges from the previous game: battles take place in real time and the area of action is less restrictive. The approach is more typical of traditional survival horror games, although some role-playing elements are retained.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
