Cel Damage

Cel Damage (2001)

by Play It, Pseudo Interactive, Electronic Arts
Genres:Shooter, Racing, Fighting
Themes:Action, Comedy
Game modes:Single player, Split screen
Story:Imagine a world where 'toons rule the road and the demolition derby is a way of life. In Cel Damage, the world's toughest 'toons face off against each other in souped-up, weapon-laden vehicles to out-maneuver, out-race, and out-smack each other for personal glory. These gas-powered gladiators battle it out in highly interactive cartoon environments where they can roam freely, discover hidden areas, interact with set gag pieces (such as the 100 ton weight), perform stunts, and whack the heck out of their opponents. And with a host of wild weapons, such as giant boxing gloves and baseball bats, at their disposal, these 'toons with attitude take part in vehicular combat as it has never been seen before.Show more

The very first video game I ever became obsessed with. Genuinely funny and clever characters, insane gameplay, surprising amount of content for the time. Spent countless hours playing with my dad back in the day, would be a dream come true to have this preserved.
Cell Damagr is my favorite childhood game and is full of fun. GOG will make a lot of money from this game if made available. I’ll be the first to buy because this is a must have game for me. I played this with my dad, so many memories
Cel Damage is a masterpiece! The characters are cool, silly and witty, the cel shaded graphics give the game its own stylish graphical edge, the gameplay has a lot going for it which can provide hours and hours of enjoyment, and the cartoony weapons add so much to the game. One minute you’ll be hitting someone with a bat, and another minute sees you using a shrink ray on another player. You’ll never know what will happen during a Cel Damage match. Possibly my favorite part of the game has to be the cutscenes. The character personalities really shine during these moments. One cutscene sees Violet beating up someone, and another cutscene has Fowl Mouth doing a digging PSA while burying a body. They need to be seen to be believed! A PC port of Cel Damage would be an awesome addition to the GOG library! Anyone who didn’t have the chance to play it would be able to easily! Cel Damage is one of my favorite games ever, and it will continue to be a favorite of mine.
THERE IS TWO VERSIONS OF THIS! The gamecube version is very different compared to the PS2/Hd version and that's due to the weapons being more powerful. I've spent 1000s hours on this game, the gamecube, ps2, HD switch version even played this on the WII! I've spent so much time playing with my family growing up and now the wife aha!
For whatever inexplicable reason, I spend many hours playing split-screen competitive matches of this cartoony Twisted Metal-like and there were laughs abound. I still don't know what it was about it specifically, but it brought immense joy; perhaps it was that it didn't take itself seriously, or that it didn't give a damn about physics or realism and melded together multiple styles into this quirky competitive game. I may never recall why, but it definitely had an impact on me.

Parodius
ParodiusShoot'em ups don't come any weirder than Parodius - dodge through waves of killer penguins, neon rabbits and 50ft tall dancing girls. An intense experience of one or two players. This compilation collects the first two arcade incarnations of Konami's shoot'em'up parody series on one disc: Fantastic Journey (Gokujou Parodius) and Parodius (Parodius Da!). Unlike the ports seen on the SNES these are much more accurate to the original arcade version.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the PatriotsMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the final canonical Metal Gear game to feature Solid Snake as the main character. The gameplay of the previous games have been kept along with some new features, such as the ability to roll on your back and also to hide in bins scattered around the environment. Most of the story and the relationship between the characters are explained through cut-scenes with a considerable length, so knowledge of the prior games is recommended to fully understand the story. The game also features a complex multiplayer mode entitled Metal Gear Online with some original missions based on the stealth aspects of the single-player games.
