I first saw this game played by CaptainSparklez back in 2012 and immediately fell in love with it. I had two friends who would come over to play the local coop for hours, every week, for most of high school. We never got bored of it, and those are some of the happiest times I can recall.
Cobalt's rolling mechanic is still the single best game mechanic I've ever seen. Aside from the obvious use in deflecting incoming projectiles, you can use it to punch the ground for extra speed, to add momentum to grenade throws, to shoot in any direction without needing to stop and aim. And it just feels so good...
The music and art are delightful. The bot AI is surprisingly intelligent. The map-making community is small but legendary, and still active!
This was the game that got me into games, and the game that got me into game development. Please help it to live on!
