One of the most unique detective games ever, loved the mechanics of using your actual notepad. And also the werewolf parts. Fond memories of playing it and would absolutely love to be able to play it again.

Discworld Noir has some of the best and worst elements of classic point-and-click adventures. The comedy is unrelenting (and often very funny), most of the puzzles are satisfying (but a few are VERY hard), and the ending could honestly be better. However, the atmosphere is immaculate, the story is overall interesting with the right amount of twists and some ideas, while rough in execution, truly give the game a unique identity. It's a rough gem which deserves a second life.

This is a classic in the genre which tried a lot of fun new ideas but had sadly been unplayable for years now. If it gets a rerelease I would buy it immediately!

Sadly I could never play this game, and its one regret I expect to amend in my lifetime once this get into GOG. I discovered Pratchett in the early 2000's, and the Guards storyline is one of the best. Getting to play as an exAMCW, while moving around in the shadows of the greatest city of the Disc... Yeah, I really can't wait to get this.
As many other people mentioned, this is a unique detective game. Why? Because it blends Sir Terry Pratchett's elements of the Discworld (and if you haven't read the novels, what are you waiting for?) with many, many elements of film noir. Think "The Maltese Falcon", and you're in the right territory. :-) // This is a fun point-and-click adventure game -- and yes, patience is necessary (but if it wasn't, why would you play an adventure game?) ;-) // As the blurb states, you play Lewton - the (Disc)world's first, and probably its last, Private Investigator. Business is slow, until a beautiful woman walks into your office and offers you a case: find her missing lover. She thinks he's having an affair. And so begins the game -- but there is so, so much in store for you to discover ... and the story is by turns funny, dark, bitter, and heart-breaking. Highly recommended! // On a personal note, I have not been able to play this game since the early 2000s (although I still have the original discs). GOG, I appeal to you: please, please bring this game back, if you can. Thank you so much!

Oh man, I totally forgot about discworld noir! That these games are not available anywhere to purchase online is just a big injustice! A nice three pack on GoG would be a dream come true!

Terry Pratchett consulted on this, and it shows! Like many of the Discworld stories this takes an idea from our world - in this case film noir (think The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon, say) - and runs with it. Parody but satisfying story too. The look and feel were amazing and it would be great to have a version playable on modern PCs.

Unique story in the amazing discworld universe. It's really amazing and fun to play from what I remember. You can only see this characters in this game as they don't exist anywhere else.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the KingThe video game adaption of the acclaimed film of the same name. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is a follow up the well received adaption of the first two films in the trilogy. Gameplay features were also expanded upon, including multiplayer.
