A childhood favorite of mine from when I played games on a beige Compaq Presario tower running Windows 98 SE. A very linear 3D platformer and collect-a-thon covering the 2nd and 3rd acts of the movie it's based off of, also maintaining the same sense of humor and whit as well as most of the voice cast. I enjoy revisiting this gem on occasion, and it holds up with its tight controls and mostly pretty forgiving levels (though it does ramp up in difficulty toward the end). What makes this game especially interesting is that the PC version still installs and works on modern Windows out of the box without modification, something that most of Argonaut's games around the turn of the millennium seem to share. Highly recommended if you like platformers of this era and want to try something a bit off of the beaten path.

A old childhood game that I wish I could still play. Hope this game gets added in some day. When I think about it I never did beat the game. The last level was a pain to fight as a kid. Maybe I could do better as an adult.

Another Disney favourite of mine, a classic on PC. The wolf chase level gave me nightmares, that and the spiders in the forest. It was so scary playing those as a kid!

My first 3D Platformer, and one of the few games I had at home. I probably played this game thousands of times, being always my favourite as I was growing up. Not sure what does it have that made it so satisfying to play always, doing the same little tricks all the time, memorised where the CD would get stuck in the dialogues, all the secrets and rolling all over the place. I also would make every adult try to play it and see how it was barely possible for them to move haha. The game still works in most instances, but I would like to see it get some love and appreciation.

Keio Flying Squadron 2
Keio Flying Squadron 2Keio Flying Squadron 2 was released in 1996 for the Sega Saturn in Japan, Europe, and Australia. The second installment of the series continues the story of Rami's adventures as the Keeper of the Secret Treasure (a sphere passed down through generations of Rami's family). Rami races Dr. Pon and a new rival Himiko Yamatai for an ancient treasure that can be unlocked with six spheres. Two of the stages retain the shoot-'em-up style of the first game, but the lesser dragons can be obtained as bonuses only. Mainly the stages consist of sidescroling platformer stages. These scroll from right to left on the Japanese version and left to right on all other versions. Several bonuses can be collected including three weapons (Rami can also bounce on the heads of enemies to defeat them): A large mallet, used only for hitting enemies An umbrella, used to hit enemies, float and deflect overhead obstacles A bow, used to shoot arrows at enemies. Besides the platformer and shoot-'em-up stages, there is vertically scrolling special stages, an underwater stage and a rollercoaster stage, making the game a multi-genre platformer. Points spheres can be collected throughout the game. A reward system accessed from the main menu unlocked helpful hints and behind-the-scenes extras depending on the highest and lowest scores achieved through playing.
