This game is so much fun but controller aiming doesn't work properly with it. This game was misunderstood in some ways, mediocre in other ways. The driving physics were phenomenal though and still hold up to this day.
As a kid, my parents let me rent this game for the PlayStation 2 from the local DVD rental place, and they had to pay hefty late fee because I wouldn’t give it back, I enjoyed that much. This was back before I heard of the Grand Theft Auto series.
I originally played this game on the PS2, played the Roam mode for hours just messing around with vehicles and shooting/blowing up stuff/people. Not the best game but it was super fun for me. The game has tons of bugs, the story is interesting, the music soundtrack was also alright. The driving physics in this game are pretty impressive for a 20+ year old game and it 's what made me play for hours. I have the physical copy of this game but I haven't played in over a decade. Would love to see this game release here on GOG.

Driving physics were ahead of its time, it lives up to the game's name. I loved to just take a random car and accelerate it to roam through the city like I was in a race. Good times...

Buggy Boy
Buggy BoyBuggy Boy is a race game, but not just an ordinary race game. There are five different routes, offroad, north, east, west, south. The offroad course loops around back to the start, the others are long runs with a distinct beginning and ending. You must complete each leg before the time runs out. Along the way you can pick up all kinds of bonuses. The colored flags are 30 points each, collect all colors in the order as indicated at the top of the screen to get 1000 bonus points. There are several gates the give you 100, 250 or 500 points, and a time gate. Drive through a time gate to collect it, you receive two seconds extra time upon completing a leg. Occasionally there will be a soccer ball on the road, hit it and it will fly away and you get 2000 points. There are bridges and tunnels, be careful not to fall off the bridge into the water or crash into the tunnel wall. There also are obstacles like boulders, logs and fences. If you hit them it will cost you valuable seconds off your leg time. But if you hit a log or small stone just right, the buggy will ride on two wheels until you hit something again.
