Story:Elden Ring is an action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released in February 2022. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with world-building contributions from novelist George R. R. Martin, the game features an expansive open world called the Lands Between. Players assume the role of a customisable character known as the Tarnished, who must explore this world, battle formidable enemies, and seek to restore the Elden Ring to become the Elden Lord. The game builds on the challenging gameplay mechanics familiar from the Dark Souls series but introduces a more open-ended structure with vast exploration, dynamic weather, and a day-night cycle. It offers deep lore, complex characters, and an interconnected world filled with secrets, dungeons, and powerful bosses.Show more

Throughout my years as a gamer, few adventures have truly left me in awe. Yet, stepping into the Lands Between reignited a sense of wonder I hadn’t felt since childhood. The intricate lore, compelling characters, and masterfully crafted world drew me in completely. Every word spoken and every fragment of text unearthed felt like a piece of a vast, living puzzle. The challenges weren’t punishing for the sake of it. They demanded adaptation, encouraged growth, and rewarded perseverance. Instead of frustration, I found myself inspired to refine my strategies and think creatively. It reminded me how much I have missed truly open-world exploration, free from handholding or unnecessary distractions. Elden Ring is a masterpiece, a world that does not just ask to be played, but to be lived in, savored, and remembered long after the journey ends. 11/10 – An absolute masterpiece.

It's f#€%#g Elden Ring, one of the best games ever made and one of the RARE actually good high-profile games released in this century. Everything else disappoints but FromSoft is always going for it.
I really hope FromSoft puts their games on GOG. The OG Demon's Souls for PS3 made me remember what it was that I loved about gaming! Spending hours and hours, sometimes even days on a single boss trying and failing to beat them, to then reach the day when I finally beat that nigh unkillable monster! And to anyone who says that Steam preserves games, ask the Sonic and GTA communities for their opinions on that.
elden ring is the best game to ever exist in needs to be eternal please i beg u add this game its such a good game
I've got several hundred hours in Elden Ring and the DLC over at Steam. I love this game so much and would hate to see it vanish when the servers eventually shut down. I'd love to own this game on gog. I've already paid for it on steam and playstation.
Elden Ring had a profound impact on my life by pushing me to embrace challenges, patience, and perseverance. The game’s vast, open world and complex lore invited me to explore and uncover its secrets at my own pace, rewarding curiosity and determination. The difficulty, though often punishing, taught me the value of learning from failure and the importance of resilience. Each victory felt earned, making the journey incredibly satisfying. Elden Ring is a fantastic game because it masterfully combines the iconic dark fantasy world-building of FromSoftware with deep gameplay mechanics, challenging combat, and freedom of exploration. The sense of accomplishment after overcoming its toughest obstacles left me with a greater sense of confidence and a deeper appreciation for the process of growth, both in-game and in life.

Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep
Dungeon Master II: The Legend of SkullkeepDungeon Master established several new standards for role playing and computer games in general. Dungeon Master was a realtime game instead of the traditional turn-based approach that was prevalent until then. Instead of using text-based commands to interact with the environment, players directly manipulated objects and the environment by clicking the mouse in the enlarged first-person view. Abstract Dungeons and Dragons style experience points and levels were eschewed in favor of a system where the characters' skills were improved directly via using them. It also introduced some novel control methods including the spell casting system, which involved learning sequences of runes which represented the form and function of a spell's effect. For example, a fireball spell was created by mixing the fire symbol with the wing symbol. This kind of attention to detail and focus on the user interface was typical of the game and helped create an often captivating sense of craft and ingenuity. Other factors in immersiveness were the then-revolutionary use of sound effects to indicate when a creature was nearby, and (primitive) dynamic lighting.

Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun
Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal SunDungeon & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun is set in the world of Mystara, a setting of the Dungeons & Dragons game. The characters find themselves in a strange, red-hued world in which the horizon slopes upward in all directions, eventually vanishing into a crimson haze at the limits of sight. Their mission is to find and make allies in this new world or else the kingdom and its culture will perish. The player leads a party of four characters (either the default party or one that the player has created). Characters and races can be chosen from the normal D&D options. The gameworld is viewed from an isometric perspective and the characters can roam around in realtime. Battles are turn based. Like most role-playing games, the gaming experience focuses on exploration, inventory management and character development.

Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara
Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over MystaraIn addition to the original four heroes found in its predecessor, Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom (Cleric, Dwarf, Elf and Fighter), Shadow of Mystara adds a Thief and a Magic-User to the selection. Furthermore, with the inclusion of two separate versions of each character's sprite set, the game allows up to two players to select the same character (in Tower of Doom each of the characters could only be selected once), effectively giving the game 12 "different" characters to choose from. The two Clerics and two Magic Users also have subtle differences within their spell books. The controls are using four buttons: Attack, Jump, Select (brings up a small inventory ring around the character allowing the player to choose what item is set in the Use slot) and Use. The Cleric, Elf and Magic-User also have two extra rings for their spells, with the Jump button used to switch from ring to ring. While the game uses the same kick harness as the previous game, the Select and Use buttons are reversed. Shadow over Mystara also introduced a selection of special moves which are executed by moving the joystick and tapping the buttons in certain combinations, in a way similar to the Street Fighter series. The characters (except for the Magic-User) have a Dashing Attack as well as a Rising Attack which can be used to combo monsters or even juggle them in the air. Most characters (again, with the exception of the Magic-User and also Cleric) also have a Megacrush, a move common to nearly all of Capcom side-scrollers, which damages all enemies standing close enough to the character but in turn also damaging the player themselves.
