Felt like interactive game of thrones anime, in a great way obviously

Basically what the guy before me has said
-an interactive game of thrones + anime
-a grim & great story
-fun as hell combat, though simplistic compared to something like Devil May Cry but I had fun nonetheless
-badass boss fights
-heart in some ways
One of few JRPG that really captured my heart by its solid story, likeable characters, visual spectacle, stellar voice performance, and amazing musical score. Ofc this game far from perfect, it has uninspired side quest (albeit some of them actually have good stories), open sandbox with little to do and not encourage you to explore every nook and cranny of the world this game has to offer. Nonetheless, despite its flaws, Final Fantasy XVI through and through is a tribute and new beginning for Final Fantasy franchise going forward.
