This essentially is the original Ghostbusters 3. You have the original cast reprising their roles from the first two movies. You actually play as a rookie that's getting trained by the Ghostbusters. This game did a great job making you feel like an actual Ghostbuster. You get to explore several locations some from the first two movies. There's a good variety of ghosts you get to caught. They also hid some great surprises you won't see coming. I personally felt this is the best Ghostbusters game I ever played!!!

The original PC version had charm the remaster couldn’t quite capture. It featured a unique lighting atmosphere, tighter gameplay mechanics, and a better sense of pacing. Even though the remaster improved visuals and performance, it cut out the multiplayer and lacked some of the original’s soul. The OG version also had a less “plastic” look compared to the remaster’s often over-polished models.
From blasting ghosts with the Proton Pack to exploring haunted landmarks in New York, the game lets you live the dream of being a Ghostbuster like no other title before or since. The gameplay mixed action, puzzle-solving, and environmental destruction in a way that felt fresh and exciting.
Bringing the 2009 PC version to GOG would not only preserve this cult classic DRM-free, but would give fans the definitive version of the game—complete with original atmosphere and tone.
