Story:Originally released as 'Horizons: Empire of Istaria', Istaria is unique among MMORPGs in that players may choose a dragon for their avatar. Istaria allows players to build non-instanced player communities with either multi-level underground dragon chambers or ground level communities.

So this was one of the first two online RPGs that I played. Graphically dated now, but at the time was revolutionary at the time. The best feature about it was the fact that you could play as a dragon, yes!
A dragon, you created your own unique dragon, customized etc, at later levels you could even fly as I recall, and a lair system, your own personal lair. The crafting system was strange, but unique as well, if you crafted while a dragon you improved your claws damage, and scales protective qualities.
