I remember this game as a role-playing treasure. Probably quite difficult to even get through to the end. Still, it's pure magic and D&D. The game's spellcasting system deserves mention as one of the best interfaces ever: you have to mix different ingredients, which must also be paired off with the correct magical rune for the spell to work. Although character classes are limited, gameplay is balanced quite well with one character from each class. With quite fine graphics, fun gameplay, and a truly epic quest, this game is a must have.

This game holds a very special place in my heart as it is one of the RPGs my dad used to play back in the days ! The game was distributed in France as Legend, and was not translated at all in french, though the big delightful manual was (I miss the days where we had booklets and manuals in the boxes of our games !). The magic system in Legend is one of the best I have ever seen in a videogame, and the combats are fast paced and fun. The story might feel a bit 'old' but it is still a hit in my eyes. The music is an absolute masterpiece, all the different songs your menestrel can play (after learning them in a tavern) have a different effect. And as a kid, what was NOT to love in that game when you could play with a literal NINJA ?! I hope this game will finally join GOG and I hope more people will give it a try if so !
Those games also need your vote!
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth
Digimon Story: Cyber SleuthDigimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, developed by Media.Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and based on the Digimon franchise. It is the fifth game in the Digimon Story series, following 2011's Super Xros Wars, and the first to be released on home consoles. A Digimon game that borrows and improves a lot of elements from Game Freak's Pokemon games, and Digimons can be Captured/Scanned. The battle system for this game has a lot similarities to CTB (conditional turn based) from Final Fantasy X.

Digimon World DS
Digimon World DSDigimon World DS, known in Japan as Digimon Story (デジモンストーリー Dejimon Sutōrī?), is a role-playing video game and the first Digimon game for the Nintendo DS. It is not part of the Digimon World series, as suggested by its localized title, but the game does bears a resemblance to Digimon World 3. In the game, the player assumes the role of a Digimon tamer and embarks on a journey to discover, tame, raise, train and command more than 230 unique Digimon. The player can build Digi-Farms to raise, evolve and communicate with the Digimon. Using Wi-Fi and local DS wireless connection, players can interact by exchanging Digimon, engaging in battles, and pooling resources to create rare types of Digimon. To date, the game has spawned four sequels in Digimon World Dawn and Dusk, Digimon Story Lost Evolution, Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Red and Blue, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur MachtXenosaga: Episode I - Der Wille zur Macht, the first chapter of a trilogy, is a Japanese-style sci-fi role-playing game, sharing many common themes and gameplay elements with Xenogears. The battle system is not unlike the one used in Xenogears (combo attacks, AP and EP gauges, etc.), but random encounters are eliminated. Instead, the enemies are now visible and battles can be avoided. During combat the few upcoming ally and enemy turns are shown onscreen, allowing the player to make strategic decisions based on who will act next. A rolling slot moves with each turn as well, conferring a bonus such as added damage or bonus XP for any action on that turn. If the enemy would be in position to take an advantage then the player can expend a character's "boost" gauge to cut in and act next, although enemies can boost as well, and enemy boosts always over-ride player boosts. Each character has a unique tree of Ether spells they can learn by spending Ether points earned in battle, with lower spells requiring spells above them to be purchased first. After a spell is purchased, so long is it does not require a unique talent of that character, the spell can also be purchased and learned by any other character that can afford double its normal cost. The Anti-Gnosis Weapon Systems can be equipped with different weapons and accessories and can be used in combat provided that a character has enough AP on that turn to board their AGWS.
