Story:LMA Manager 2007 is a soccer management game in the LMA Manager series. Like its predecessors, the game allows players to manage a soccer team. Included are teams from over 50 different countries and leagues from 8 of those countries. Available are over a 1000 different officially licensed teams. The game features an improved database engine and a transfer system with more depth than its predecessors.
All matches can be watched in full 3D. The AI plays the matches out, but it is still possible to make adjustments to player positions and the like. It is also possible to see the results of matches and all kinds of player and team statistics in the ingame magazine "FootballOne".Show more

The greatest management sim. Modern management games could learn a lot from this particular instalment of the LMA series. The engine that ran the matches was surprisingly good & realistic, it provided direct feedback correlating to the way you set up the team and the players stats (the matches were actually highly entertaining to watch, it never really got old, you never wanted to skip them, you always felt that you could see something, change something and really impact the result). Some might say the mechanics were too basic or simplistic but they really weren't, they were concise and meaningful, there was actually a lot of depth to it. Modern football sims try to add great depth and realism but the things they add just amount to fluff, and they do not increase the immersion at all (quite the opposite). One of the great things about LMA 2007 was the RPG elements to it, so many players on the market with unique randomized stats (produced in youth teams & retired player replacements), this created so many memorable unique teams & seasons. The game became more interesting once all the recognized stock players had retired and you're now just playing fantasy league with procedurally generated players. LMA 2005 was good, but LMA 2006 had a lot of fundamental things wrong with it, then they some how nailed it with LMA 2007 (probably by learning what was good about 2005 and what was bad about 2006), it's a shame it ended there but at least the last instalment was an underrated classic of the genre. It's so difficult finding a version of this game that works on a modern day PC (I only ever played it on PS2 back in the day and was still playing it on PS2 10 years later). This game needs to be on GOG (made compatible with win11 and beyond).
