One of the best video game sci-fi trilogies ever made. Some of the best characters ever written (IMO) with super solid gameplay. Bringing this to GOG to make sure everyone can play it for years to come would be amazing.

A great trilogy that's been remastered to near perfection. If any series is deserving of freedom from the shackles of DRM confinement, it's Mass Effect Legendary Editon. I look forward to the day I can install this series from GOG instead of EA. Please make this happen.

To this day, Mass Effect is my absolute favorite game and my comfort game. When I start the first part and the music starts, it's like coming home. I was never a sci-fi fan, always into fantasy, but Mass Effect absolutely captivated me. I liked the story, I love the companions and I always enjoy the combat system (especially playing as a biotic god *ahem*) While the original trilogy has its own charm, I definitely appreciate the updated graphics but especially for the first game the revamped combat system and better modding options. And the new Mako controls. Good God, the Mako controls...

Mass Effect made me a gamer. I studied film theory and in a seminar one of my classmates made a presentation about movies and games. I didn't know before that there were games with cinematic scenes and storytelling. I became interested. After 3 other games, I was looking for a sci-fi (my favourite genre) and I came across Mass Effect. There was no turning back. ME changed my perspective on games, it made me appreciate them. No movie or book got me that immersed and made me feel that real for fictional characters. The worldbuilding, atmosphere, exploration, decisions... The joy and the dread. It is bittersweet but it was a damn good ride. I wish I could experience it blindly again.

I fell in love with this series because of its evolving story, characters and the freedom for the players. Starting from a simple recon mission that leads to a threat for the whole galaxy, awesome told! This galaxy was my comfort place and I loved to defend it in this epic journey. I will never forget the last mission in ME2 - it was like playing a sci-fi movie. <3

One of my favorite game franchises of all time. If you love story and character-based games, PLEASE give this a shot. If there's any trilogy that should be preserved, this one 100% should be it!

I've purchased these games a few times on different platforms, but even the Steam release comes bundled with the required EA launcher, which stopped working on Steam Deck for a while and interrupted my ability to play the game, even though I bought the game from Steam, not EA. These games are timeless classics, and the Legendary Edition is the definitive way to experience them. This tale that spans 3 back to back games is one of the greatest stories ever told. It's a tear jerker every time I play and well worth the time and money I've sunk into them. To this day, at 37 years old, when I hear certain sound effects or songs from these games, a tear wells up in my eye and my heart skips a beat. I don't think any other game (or series) has had this much impact on me. The characters, storytelling and world building is second to none in my opinion. This collection, together, represents the pinnacle of greatness that can be achieved by a video game and is possibly the greatest video game of all time. If any game in history deserves to be liberated from the shackles of closed markets and proprietary DRM, for the good of humanity, it's this one. In the interest of preserving, and replaying some of the greatest games of all time, at any point in the future, and without turning to piracy, I would absolutely buy this collection all over again were it to arrive on GoG without the EA launcher or other restrictive DRM. I'm asking EA to let me give them money, again. All I ask in return is that this game be listed on GoG without any DRM nonsense.
By far one of the best science fiction space operas that you can find anywhere. This game series was a big part of my personal youth and and the ones of my friends. It should be preserved in form of the legendary edition in my opinion, since it includes all three games and all the story DLC's, except for "pinnacle station" for Mass Effect 1, that was thankfully brought back via a mod some years ago. This version of the trilogy also has a modding community that outperforms the modding community of the original three games by far. This game will be a perfect object for studying story- and character writing for decades to come. Yes, it doesn't include the multiplayer of Mass Effect 3, but let's be honest: We all didn't play Mass Effect primarily for the multiplayer. This combined definitive version of the games should not be locked away behind a always online internet connection or any other costumer unfriendly practices. Please vote for this edition instead of the original three games and let's make it part of the good-old-games-library.
Those games also need your vote!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

.Flow
.Flow.Flow is one of the most well-known fangames of the original Yume Nikki, made by lol. It's one of the darker spin-offs infamous for its eerie atmosphere and copious amounts of body horror and hospital imagery, centering around a girl named Sabitsuki (さびつき) as she enters her PC dreamworld to explore her mind and collect effects. .Flow is one of the more traditional fangames that stays true to the gameplay elements of the original. Effects are collected in a gloomy, sublime dreamscape and the user is left to interpret the events and lack of explicit storyline. The only differences that seem to set this game apart from Yume Nikki is the more concrete subject matter (the deeper aspects of the landscape seem to have a more pristine resemblance to human body parts, where as Nikki's environment requires more interpretive thinking to analyze) and the inclusion of three endings instead of one. The main plot of the game is similar to the original Yume Nikki's, in that it's a sandbox game with very few exploration restrictions. You must collect the twenty-five effects to unlock two of the three endings and three boxes to achieve the third.
