Nights: Journey of Dreams

Nights: Journey of Dreams (2007)

by Sega Studio USA, Sonic Team, Sega
Genres:Adventure, Platform
Themes:Action
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer, Split screen
Story:This time around, however, Nights takes a bit of a different turn. Keeping in line with the "world of dreams" theme – it wouldn't be Nights without it – players will take control of Will and Helen, two young children each entering into Nightopia (the world of dreams) with their own back-story, emotional baggage, and inner demons that come to life though the forming of nightmares. It's a pretty simple concept overall, and with each child's five main levels you'll get a different piece of the story leading up to the same grand finale. Once they arrive in the land of dreams, each character meets up with a Nights almost instantaneously, and from there learns to meld with the mysterious creature and fly through the world of Nightopia. Along the way you'll learn of the quest to find the hidden Ideya (basically essences of the human spirit), and eventually attempt to defeat a powerful god-like creature named Wizeman and his right-hand man Reala.Show more

Fantastic game that deserves to not be stuck on the Wii! Fantastic soundtrack, a more accessible structure for newcomers and excellent vibes. Many NiGHTS fans missed this one, and that's a crime!

Everything I said about NiGHTS into dreams, but now its on the Wii. A 10/10 soundtrack, a simple yet captivating story, fantastic character design and addictive arcade gameplay. Now with Octopaw. Who doesn’t love Octopaw? Julissa Aguirre also provides a really charming performance as everyone's favourite gender fluid court jester. The game is also stuck on the Wii at the mo, so a new PC release would be grand. Plus, NiGHTS' 30th anniversary is coming up, so this would be nice. :)
I got it for Christmas a few years ago as I had fallen in love with NiGHTS into Dreams that year. The first time I heard When the Night Falls, I was enamored. I barely played the game that night, opting to instead wander around, serenaded by the music as if I had truly fallen asleep and was transported to the Dream Gate. The whole game was a joy to play, offering a pleasant adventure for whomever might play, and I wish it was available to more people. NiGHTS deserves her chance in the moonlight.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is a game I’ve had in the back of my mind for almost a decade. I enjoyed the original through the HD port on PS3, and was always curious about this one. About a year ago I picked this up from a retro store and enjoyed it quite a bit. I love the music and most of the levels. I also really like the art direction and control feels good when not using motion controls. It’s a shame this one was left behind on Wii and didn’t get ported to PC or any systems. I’d really like to see this one be ported and preserved.
My first NiGHTS game and I really enjoyed to 100% it on my wii back then, and again on the last year, getting all A ranks, it deserves to be enjoyed by everybody

This game has helped me though some of the darkest times in my life, I always come back to it when I am feeling down. I truly believe this is once of the best games on the WII and should be experienced by as many people as possible.
NiGHTS was such a huge, formative game for me, Journey of Dreams was one of those games that I was bought as a gift and immediately fell in love with. That was as a 7 year old. Now at 24 this game and the entire NiGHTS franchise brings me so much nostalgia and joy.
I love this franchise so much and I want people to know more about this. The original NiD was playable before it got delisted so hopefully it will come back at a similar time to to this. I just want people to fall in love with NiGHTS like I did and just see the amazing world they built up. It'd be such a shame the original game being only playable and not it's sequel.

I played this game as a kid and loved it, it stuck with me through all the years and I made friends because I played it. Now with my Wii going I can't really play it anymore, so I'd love to get to play it again.
This is my childhood favorite game, it has inspired me and it's a crime that I have no way of recommending this game to people without them hunting down an old wii copy or pirating. Having it here would help inspire people in the same way it did for me. That and it'd be nice for the online functions to work again. I love Roger L Jackson as Wizeman so much.
Those games also need your vote!

Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VFinal Fantasy V is a fantasy role-playing video game developed and published by Square in 1992 as a part of the Final Fantasy series. The game first appeared only in Japan on Nintendo's Super Famicom (known internationally as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System). It has been ported with minor differences to Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. An original video animation produced in 1994 called FINAL FANTASY: Legend of the Crystals serves as a sequel to the events depicted in the game. It was released for the PlayStation Network on April 6, 2011, in Japan. An enhanced port of the game, with new high-resolution graphics and a touch-based interface, was released for iPhone and iPad on March 28, 2013, and for Android on September 25, 2013. FINAL FANTASY V has been praised for the freedom of customization that the player has over the characters, achieved through the greatly expanded Job System. Despite being released only in Japan, the Super Famicom version sold more than two million copies. The PlayStation version has earned "Greatest Hits" status, selling more than 350,000 copies.
